“After what felt like a lifetime of Republican chaos to elect a Speaker of the House, today, the 118^th Congress finally got to work. My work and commitment to Arizonans remain the same in this new Congress. I’m more motivated than ever to deliver for the working families of Arizona, fiercely protect Arizona’s water, stand up for Arizona’s veterans, and fight back against the ultra-MAGA Republicans in their efforts to cut Social Security and Medicare, attack a woman’s right to choose, and undermine democracy. That’s how I plan to put people over politics.”
