Rep. Ruben Gallego Statement of Support for Dreamers Protesting Congressional Inaction

WASHINGTON, DC ­– Rep. Ruben Gallego issued the following statement:

"When President Trump ended the DACA program, he cast thousands of young people – our friends, our neighbors, and our colleagues – into a world of uncertainty and fear.

"It takes immense courage to stand up to power at any time, but even more so when your life as you know it is at great risk. I have the utmost admiration and respect for the Dreamers who are taking a stand and fighting for their right to continue to live and work in the country they call home.

"I stand in full support of Dreamers like Arizona's Belen Sisa, who previously interned in my district office, and Erika Andiola, who are peacefully demanding that Congress pass the Dream Act."
