Rep. Ruben Gallego Congratulates Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on $21M Reconstruction Grant
PHOENIX, AZ – Today, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) released the following statement in response to an announcement that the Department of Transportation will award a $21.3 million grant to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for an ongoing reconstruction project. The grant will go towards reconstruction of 90,000 square yards of the Terminal 4 apron, the fifth phase of the project. The total project will involve 270,000 square yards of reconstruction.
"Phoenix Sky Harbor International is a world-class airport that we're lucky to have right here in Arizona's 7th District," Rep. Gallego said. "I want to congratulate them on this significant award, which will help make our airport an even safer, more pleasant place to fly to as more people travel to and from Arizona each year."
