Rep. Gallego Applauds President Biden’s Actions to Battle Omicron
WASHINGTON, DC—Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-07) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s new actions to protect Americans and help hospitals battle Omicron.
“The Biden Administration's announcement of an emergency COVID-19 response team heading to Arizona is an incredibly important move to support our state’s medical workers while they continue to provide lifesaving care under incredibly strained circumstances. This, along with President Biden’s announced effort to expand free testing to Americans, will make a huge difference as Arizonans work to keep themselves and their families healthy this Winter. As the Omicron variant becomes the dominant variant in the United States, we must remain vigilant and do all we can to protect one another from COVID-19. I applaud the president’s leadership on this new plan to battle Omicron.”
