Rep. Gallego Announces Hire of New Chief of Staff, Grisella M. Martinez
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) announced that Grisella M. Martinez will be joining his office as Chief of Staff.
"Grisella is a Capitol Hill veteran who brings years of policy expertise and skilled leadership to our team," Rep. Gallego said. "I look forward to working with her on behalf of the people of Arizona's 7th District."
Prior to joining Rep. Gallego's office, Grisella served as Vice President of Government Relations at the National Association of Broadcasters, where she represented radio and television broadcasters before Congress and within the media industry. She previously served as policy director for the House Democratic Caucus under Chairman Xavier Becerra (D-CA), and before that as an immigrant rights advocate with the National Immigration Forum and the National Immigration Law Center.
The granddaughter of Mexican immigrants, she started her Hill career as a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) intern and most recently served on CHCI's Advisory Council as well as the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS).

Grisella holds an LL.M. from Washington College of Law at American University, a J.D. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, and a B.A. in English and Political Science from James Madison University.
Rep. Gallego is a Marine Corps Combat Veteran who served in Iraq. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Natural Resources Committee, and the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.
