Gallego Hosts Virtual Town Hall to Help Arizona Seniors Navigate Medicare
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-03) hosted a virtual town hall to highlight the Medicare Open Enrollment Period and help Arizona seniors navigate Medicare.
“Arizona seniors have contributed to our state and nation throughout their lives, and I want to ensure they can access the full benefits they’ve earned. That means strengthening Social Security and Medicare, lowering prescription drug costs, and protecting against scammers,” said Rep. Gallego. “My mom is enrolling in Medicare for the first time this year, and we’ve seen how confusing the process can be. Thanks to the experts who joined us, this informative town hall helps families like mine find the plans that work best for them and get signed up.”
During the townhall, Rep. Gallego was joined by experts from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and others who gave an overview and answered questions about Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare-Medicaid dual enrollment, and new savings opportunities thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act.
