Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego shared his memory of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol
As we mentioned, it’s been one year since the riot at the U.S. Capitol. Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego was among the many members of congress inside the capitol building when the insurrection took place. We spoke with Gallego about the attack.
“Sometimes it feels like it happened forever ago and then every time I walk through congress, sometimes I get triggered remembering something I saw or did that day,” Gallego said.
Gallego reflected on what he did that day while inside the capitol building, “I was on the house floor trying to argue and debate to preserve the Arizona election. Arizona was being contested erroneously, we know the votes were very safe, secure, and transparent in Arizona.”
